1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files saved to your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise you during a session and enable core functionality.

This policy explains which cookies are used at melanitekstil.com and for what purpose.

2. Cookies We Use

First-party cookies:

• melani_basic_session — strictly necessary session cookie. Maintains session security and admin panel login. Deleted when you close your browser.
• melani_consent — preference cookie. Stores whether you accepted or declined analytics for 180 days. Needed to keep the banner closed.
• melani_lang — necessary language cookie. Stored for 180 days when you switch language yourself. On a first visit the language follows the country (Turkey → Turkish, other countries → English); the browser language is used only when the country is unknown.

If you accept analytics, Google may also set:

• _ga — to distinguish visitors (about 13 months)
• _ga_KYZJD7PX60 — to keep session state (about 13 months)

If you do not accept, these cookies are not written: the measurement tag keeps running but stores nothing in your browser and does not link your visits to one another.

We do not use cookies for advertising, marketing or profiling.

3. Third-Party Content

Google services used on this site:

• Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-KYZJD7PX60) — loads on every visit. Unless you click “Accept analytics” on the cookie banner it runs cookieless and anonymously, measuring only aggregate page views, referring address, browser/device type and country/city-level location. Once you accept, measurement moves to a session level using a cookie identifier. Google LLC may process the data under its own policy, usually in the United States.
• Google Maps — loads on the contact page to show the office location. Google may set its own cookies when that embed loads.

If you do not want the analytics cookie, decline on the cookie banner; to stop measurement altogether you can use your browser’s tracking protection or a content blocker. The address and a directions link remain available without using the map.

Our own product and page content, including fonts, is served from our own server.

4. Managing Cookies

You can change your analytics choice in the cookie banner at the bottom of the page or via “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you decline, no analytics cookie is written and measurement continues cookieless and anonymous; if you had accepted before, we try to delete the _ga cookies.

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s “Privacy and Security” settings.

If you block the strictly necessary session cookie, parts of the site — particularly the admin panel login — may not work as expected.

5. Withdrawing Consent

You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. Choose “Necessary only”: the analytics cookies are deleted and further measurement is cookieless and anonymous. If you want measurement to stop entirely, use your browser’s tracking protection or a content blocker.
